The Vietnam Nation Brand & Vietnamese Identity Survey aims to identify the factors that shape Vietnam’s national character and the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people by collecting and synthesizing responses from people have different backgrounds and perspectives.

Recently, the project team had the opportunity to interview foreign investors who have lived in Vietnam for a long time. Below are the notable points we have noted.

Proud, friendly, hospitable: One of the outstanding characteristics of the Vietnamese people is their pride in their culture and history, along with their friendliness and hospitality. They always welcome everyone with warmth and joy, creating a gentle and close environment.

Close social relationships: Family and friendship play an important role in the lives of Vietnamese people. The strong bond in these relationships helps them overcome all difficulties and challenges.

Appreciate and care deeply about intelligence: Vietnamese people always aim to learn and develop themselves. They value knowledge and focus on improving cultural and educational levels.

Hardworking and proactive in implementation: The spirit of hard work and positivity are the core qualities of Vietnamese people. They always strive tirelessly to achieve their goals.

Cunning, patient: Flexibility and patience help Vietnamese people overcome all difficulties and challenges in life and career.

High sense of humor: A natural sense of humor helps Vietnamese people relieve stress and create a happy and optimistic environment.

Ambitious, fearless: Determination and courage help Vietnamese people rise and achieve success in all fields.

As for the Vietnamese people, this person concluded that the Vietnamese people not only have admirable personal characteristics but are also trustworthy international partners. Their steadfastness, independence and determination in developing the country and enhancing the world’s perception of Vietnam are admirable.

Thus, it can be said that the Vietnamese National Brand and the unique identity of the Vietnamese people have left a deep and positive impression in the hearts of people, both at home and abroad.

Prof. Vo Tong Xuan

Prof. Vo Tong Xuan is the former vice-rector of Can Tho University, former rector of An Giang University… and was awarded the title of Labor Hero and People’s Teacher by the State. He is the author of many valuable research works, textbooks, books, and reference materials serving agricultural production not only domestically but also internationally. Especially in the years 1980 – 1985, he introduced IR36 and MTL30 varieties, which were most popular in the Western provinces. Not only famous domestically, his research also brings many benefits to poor countries in Africa.
