Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng

Founder and Chairman of Thai Ha Books

Dr Hung was born in 1965 and finished high school in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 1982. He then spent 12 years studying and working in Russia. 

Starting in 1995, Dr Hung worked as a Deputy Director with FPT Corporation, the biggest IT company in Vietnam, with a staff of more than 10,000 in 2007 and 60.000 in 2023. 

In 2007 Dr Hung founded Thai Ha Books, the first publishing house in Vietnam to observe copyright in publishing all of its titles. (Thai means light, wisdom and peace, Ha means river).

In 2008, Dr Hung was selected as a member of the Central Committee of the Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights of Vietnam, and since 2010 he has been a member of the central committee of the Publishing Association of Vietnam, with responsibility for international cooperation and copyright. 

Dr. Hung is the author of 14 books, including Meditation in every moment, Lessons from the Cleaner, From Heart to Heart, Happiness is So Simple, Planting Flowers without Roots, New Day New Me, Be Joyful Be Yourself, Meditating in Every Moment. He has also written hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines and journals, and has appeared as a guest on various TV and radio channels, discussing business, leadership, management, culture, self – help, education and training. 

Dr Hung is fluent in English, French, Vietnamese and Russian. He is speaker of books fairs such as Hanoi, Hochiminh city, Frankfurt, Beijing, Doha, Havana, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Chiang Mai, Singapore, Istanbul and others.

Dr. Hung is well known in Vietnam as a master of speed reading and is an expert in reading culture. He gives lectures on business and leadership and is also a well-known speaker on motivation, discovering human strengths, healing and self-healing. 

Dr. Hung travels very often to give courses on meditation since 2.000 and more than 10,000 his students are so happy with his guidance. They practice meditation together everyday, incorporate meditation into daily life.  

Thai Ha Books of Dr Hung opened The Museum of Books and Reading Culture in Hochiminh city on 22nd April 2023. Dr Hung launched Reading Promotion Programme successfully and 02

Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation was established by the decision of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, which is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO). The foundation operates on a voluntary, non-profit basis.

Prof. Vo Tong Xuan

Prof. Vo Tong Xuan is the former vice-rector of Can Tho University, former rector of An Giang University… and was awarded the title of Labor Hero and People’s Teacher by the State. Prof. Nguyen Thuc Quyen is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) as well as Chair of the Pre-Screening Committee. She joined the faculty of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at UCSB in summer 2004.

Prof. Thuc-Quyen Nguyen is among the Top 1% Highly Cited Researchers in Materials Science and Cross-Field by Thomson Reuters and Clarivate Analytics.
