In 2000, he was the first Vietnamese director to win the award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival (Cin\u00e9fondation) with the graduation film &#8220;Night Run&#8221;.<\/p><p>He makes both feature films and documentaries. In each genre, he has achievements recognized at the world&#8217;s leading film festivals such as Cannes, Venice or in national film festivals.<\/p><p>He has made many documentaries and promotional films for famous brands such as Toyota, Vietnam Airlines, Viettel&#8230;, the new Lotus logo advertisement for Vietnam Airlines in 2004, documentaries for the 20th anniversary of TOYOTA VIETNAM, 30th anniversary of Viettel and many other documentaries.<\/p><p>In 2001, he directed a documentary about the Hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam Project.
